Tell us your iPhone model, iOS version, the bank of the statement and the exact message you saw. Please don't attach your statements: a description is enough.
Questions
Frequently asked.
Statement PDFs from Deutsche Bank, DKB and Revolut are recognised automatically, including multi-currency Revolut statements. Use the PDF statement your bank's app or website lets you download.
Jarline reads the text inside a PDF. A scanned or photographed statement, or a password-protected file, has no readable text, so it can't be imported. Download the statement again from your bank as a regular PDF and try once more.
When a statement prints its opening and closing balances, Jarline checks that the rows add up to the cent. If they don't, a row may be missing or the file may be cut off. Check that the whole statement was downloaded, then import it again. Write to us if it still fails.
No. Re-importing a file, or importing statements whose dates overlap, keeps one copy of each transaction.
Open the row and pick the right jar. Turn on “Always do this” to make a rule for similar rows; Jarline shows how many past rows the rule will change before you save it.
Only on your iPhone. Jarline has no account, no sign-in and no server. Statement PDFs are read on the device and then discarded; only the transaction rows are kept.
Export everything as JSON or CSV at any time. The file leaves your iPhone only through the share sheet, to wherever you choose to send it.
An iPhone with iOS 26 or later.

We never see your money
PRIVACYJarline doesn't connect to your bank and doesn't need the internet, so support can't look at your data. That's why we ask you to describe the problem instead of sending files.
Not financial advice
SCOPEJarline helps you see your spending. It does not move money, connect to your bank or give financial advice.
